Lego Community Fund U.S.

Thanks in part to the generous support of the LEGO Community Fund U.S., National Wildlife Federation is working on a monarch–related, “Green STEM” focused pilot program (the marriage between traditional science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines and environmental-based education) with 25 schools in Connecticut. The “Monarch Mission” pilot will see the creation of much needed monarch butterfly recovery gardens at each of the participating schools and is expected to reach 13,000 students and 850 teachers. Since 2013, the PSEG Foundation has been a major funder of the New Jersey Eco-Schools USA program, a partnership between the National Wildlife Federation and our New Jersey affiliate, New Jersey Audubon. PSEG’s partnership with Eco-Schools fits seamlessly with their corporate responsibility priorities, which include collaborating with organizations to promote environmental stewardship, sustainability, and high-quality STEM educational opportunities. Thanks to PSEG’s support, the New Jersey Eco-Schools USA program has grown substantially and currently engages more than 270 schools by providing direct support and professional development for teachers and administrators. Animal Planet R.O.A.R.

The National Wildlife Federation is a partner of Animal Planet’s R.O.A.R. Campaign (Reach Out. Act. Respond.). Animal Planet has partnered with the National Wildlife Federation and other leading animal organizations to inspire people to make the world a better place for animals. Over the last three years Animal Planet has supported the National Wildlife Federation’s Adopt A Wildlife Acre Program. Through, voters can direct their legislator on how to vote on specific pieces of legislation. Voters can post questions and see their representatives’ answers. National Wildlife Federation’s RecycleMania 2020 competition is supported by Rubicon, a technology company born in the waste and recycling industry and committed to environmental innovation. Rubicon powers a digital marketplace, provides a suite of Software as a Service (SaaS) products for waste, recycling, and smart city solutions, and collects and analyzes data for businesses and governments worldwide. The company’s waste audit technologies are being used on campuses to mitigate recycling contamination, improve waste tracking and improve campus landfill diversion rates. National Wildlife Federation manages the RecycleMania program, and works in partnership with RecycleMania, Inc.
